About 7minutetimer.online
A free collection of online timing tools — built to start instantly, with no ads, no account, and no clutter.
Why this site exists
Most online timers have the same problem: they are covered in ads, ask you to create an account, or load slowly enough that you have already switched to your phone's clock. This site was built to fix that.
7minutetimer.online was created by a developer who uses timers daily — for Pomodoro work sessions, HIIT training, cooking, and classroom teaching — and could not find a single timer site that was fast, clean, and free of ads on every device. The site launched with a single 7-minute timer and has grown into a full suite of timing tools, all free, all ad-free, all starting with one click.
Every page is written and maintained with accuracy as the priority. Timer calculations, research citations, exercise science claims, and cooking times are reviewed and updated regularly. The last review date is shown on every content page.
Our principles
Every tool is free with no paid tiers, no feature gates, and no premium upsells. The full feature set is available to everyone on every device.
We display no advertising. We do not accept payment to promote products or services. The only thing on screen is your timer. See our Privacy Policy and Disclaimer for full details.
You never need to sign up, log in, or provide any personal information. Open a page, press Start. That is all.
Every factual claim — exercise science, sleep research, cooking times, productivity studies — is sourced from peer-reviewed journals or established institutions. We cite our sources inline and update them when research changes.
The main timer is a Progressive Web App (PWA). Once loaded, it works without an internet connection. Install it from your browser's address bar for instant access from your home screen.
We collect no personal data and run no behavioural analytics. We do not use cookies for tracking or sell any information to third parties.
Content accuracy and review process
All content on this site follows Google's E-E-A-T guidelines (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness). Here is how we apply them:
- Exercise and fitness content — All claims about HIIT, Tabata, and the 7-minute workout are sourced from peer-reviewed studies published in journals including the ACSM Health & Fitness Journal, Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise, and the British Journal of Sports Medicine.
- Sleep and wellness content — Power nap and meditation research is sourced from NASA sleep studies, the National Sleep Foundation, and peer-reviewed journals including Sleep and Applied Cognitive Psychology.
- Productivity content — Pomodoro Technique content is referenced against Francesco Cirillo's original methodology and supporting cognitive science research.
- Cooking times — Egg timing, coffee steeping, and other cooking content is verified against established culinary sources and updated regularly.
- Review dates — Each content page displays its last updated date. Pages are reviewed when relevant research changes or user feedback identifies an error.
